Our Vision

Create a little oasis where animals and people can live in harmony with nature. A place where our foster ponies can just be!

Our Aims

To keep sustainability at the heart of all that we do.

To create an environment that encourages horses to live as naturally as possible.

To find ways to encourage wildlife and create new habitats.

To promote empathy, kindness and perseverance but most importantly to have fun!

Who are we?

We are a non profit organisation who raise money to help rescue ponies. Any funds we raise are put towards the costs of us fostering rescue ponies and maintaining the venue. We also donated directly to a registered charity (Pukka Ponies).

Funds raised from renting our facilities for example a paddock for private dog exercise are donated to Pukka Ponies and the animal charities we support.

Our Story

In 2011 Phil and Smriti met, got married and moved to the country. Our dream, well Smriti’s dream was to set up a little animal sanctuary. However, nothing really happened for a while, as we were busy expanding our family. Boris the cat reluctantly was joined by Rocky the dog and our two children Nathan and Dylan.

Four years later an opportunity arose that took us down the path of fostering rescue ponies, for a lovely charity called Pukka Ponies. With little knowledge about horse management, we hit the ground running. Support and guidance from wonderful friends helped shape what we have achieved so far. We feel so privileged to be sharing our lives with the rescue ponies. They have shown us how to live in the moment, they have given us love during difficult times, provided us with amusement, laughter and improved the well being of all those that have met them.

We are in a place now where we want others to enjoy the benefits of being with the ponies and the great outdoors. Welcome to Little Warden.

What we do

At Little Warden we believe it’s important to give something back. Any funds we raise are donate to Pukka Ponies (the charity where our foster ponies come from) along with other animals rescue charities we support.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do here. We recognise the environment is important to the physical and mental well being of our foster ponies, to us, our visitors and the planet! So we are committed to:-

  • Reusing and recycling what we can in order to reduce waste going to landfill,
  • Rewilding dedicated spaces to help create a healthy ecosystem,
  • Ongoing projects aimed at creating new habitats and encouraging insects and wildlife to share our land.

Contact

Feel free to contact us. Either about the events / facilities or if you want to volunteer to help us. We enjoy working with the ponies and learning about land management maybe you would too!
